Spectacular frocks, with particular homage paid to all things red, beaded elegance, light hues and deep-V necklines, were the order of the day at the 87th Annual Academy Awards.

Aussie actress and classic beauty Margot Robbie’s gorgeous Saint Laurent gown and antique Van Cleef & Arpels is a definite favourite look from the red carpet.
I love the clash of looks in this photo and the fact that it features two incredibly talented women. Actress Keira Knightley’s romantic, on-trend gown is a perfect match with her pregnancy glow. Lady Gaga’s outfit is a definite winner from her long-list of interesting red carpet looks. The singer stole the show singing a musical medley as a tribute to The Sound of Music. Can you believe it’s been 50 years since the iconic film’s release? Her voice was wondrous and she was joined by Julie Andrews on stage who said the performance “warmed her heart”. It was lovely to see her true talent shine and be recognised.

Sienna Miller was on mark as per usual, wearing Oscar de la Renta.
Actress Reese Witherspoon shows classic monochrome never fails. The drop sleeves give this gown a modern edge.

A number of ladies heated up the carpet in red, and key among them was Rosamund Pike in an exquisitely textured custom Givenchy that showed off her figure (and a little leg).

Although the overall look isn’t my favourite l love the green hue of actress Scarlett Johansson’s gown and that she is keeping to her signature slightly goth, but very sexy style.
