Khaki appears to be this season’s must-have colour, for the shade is swamping the high street.
Since it hit the runway over 40 years ago, khaki has become a recurring fashion trend, and this season it is back in force.
Appearing on the catwalks of Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Chanel and more in recent months, you can see the although khaki may have been inspired by the armed forces, the modern take is far from uniform.

Every shade on the colour spectrum, from the deepest olive to desert shade, has been making an appearance.
From featuring on collared dresses to jackets, coats, trousers and boots, ready-for-combat colours have reigned supreme on the runway.

How wearable is this trend off the catwalk?
The tip is to not go head-to-toe in one khaki hue.
Offset dark with light.
Wear this colour with neutrals.
Add a feminine touch with white and tan pairings or go for edge with black.
