Holiday heaven! Living like a Queen in Kingscliff

Holiday heaven! Living like a Queen in Kingscliff

A few fun nights away in an idyllic location was the perfect way to unwind after a couple of hectic months.

I have just had the pleasure of a relaxing short break at Peppers Salt Resort in Kingscliff and here’s just a few words to share my fantastic experience…

Only about 80 minutes from Brisbane, the beautiful Northern Coast of New South Wales is the perfect quick escape destination in my opinion.

Peppers 2The Kingscliff coastline consists of a series of golden beaches cradled between headlands.

Endowed with attractive street landscaping and filled with little boutiques, cafes and restaurants, the coastal town has a relaxed holiday ambience.

If you’re wanting a bit of luxury then Peppers is for you, although it’s good to note that it is a bit out-of-the-way from the heart of Kingscliff (only a few minutes’ drive).

The resort has a range of pools that you can laze about in, including a huge lagoon style pool and a heated option, plus the resort is only a casual stroll away from an uncrowded, patrolled beach.

The free Wi-Fi and movies available within your hotel room is a great perk and I imagine it would have been very welcome should you have rainy weather during your stay.

Also, another thing that I’d recommend if to take the buffet breakfast option if you’re staying at Peppers – it’s too good for words.

It’s fantastic not having to worry about what you’re doing for breakfast, plus you can spend the whole morning exploring, as you won’t be hungry for a while…there’s too many delicious options to resist.

Chocolate croissant? Yes please!

Speaking of fare, on the final evening of the stay I enjoyed dinner at Season, which is the in-house restaurant that offers a stylish dining experience with a focus on fresh produce.

SeasonWe indulged on artisan bread with nori butter and smoked salt as a starter, and then shared the half crispy duck and paw paw chilli jam and lamb rump with Australian bush spices and tomato chutney as the main.

To pair with this we ordered the side of heirloom tomato salad, buffalo mozzarella, olives and basil.

The meat was cooked to perfection!

All in all, a wonderful experience and exactly what was expected from this beautiful part of the world.

N.B. Our resort booking was less than the usual rate due to a Luxury Escapes offer. Luxury Escapes gives readers the chance to experience true luxury, making it attainable through limited time offers at ‘insider’ prices. Offers are generally available for a week (with travel periods of around one year). The booking process was really easy and we got our first preference for dates at short notice.
