February Favourites

February Favourites

Can you believe that today is the last day of February? This year is already going so quickly, but I am definitely looking forward to a slight cool change, which *hopefully* we will experience in Brisbane, minus rain, soon.

Here’s a quick round-up of everything that I’ve been loving throughout February.

In the beauty stakes, my January Favourites are still in high rotation, but for some reason I’ve started using my Fit Me Set + Smooth pressed powder from Maybelline New York again after a bit of a hiatus. The classic ivory option is working perfectly with my current foundation and skin tone. I use my powder brush to apply, rather than the powder puff it comes with and find it looks nice when you do a light application for setting. If you want a heavier coverage or to use a powder on it’s own, I wouldn’t recommend it though, as trying to build this powder up looks very cakey.

Moving away from beauty now, a February fashion favourite (try saying that quickly) of mine have been pants, which is unusual as I’m not usually a trousers person, preferring skirts and dresses. However, two pairs of perfectly fitting pants – these ones from Veronica Maine in my Valentine’s Day post and the below from Zara – have changed all that.

As for good eats, I’ve been so lucky to enjoy great company at a few different food joints around Brisbane this month. An early Valentine’s Day celebration at Brew Master’s in the Grange, as my partner is this restaurant’s biggest fan, saw a delicious burger devoured. I had two of my favourite people visit (don’t you love it when you’re friends with both people in a couple?!) and we went to Two Streets Over in Gordon Park for an early Sunday breakfast – eggs benny and quality coffee, yes please. Then I caught up with one of my besties over next level banana bread at Seven South in Yeronga.

While on the home cooking front, it’s all been about bananas, blueberries and Unicorn Superfoods this month. I’ve shared my pikelet recipe that uses two of those ingredients here, but I’ll have to share my smoothie recipe that uses all three soon.

As for entertainment, I found out I hadn’t watched all of The Office US. In fact there were a lot of episodes I hadn’t seen, which was so exciting to find out.  I love Jim and Pam.

If you’re fans too, every season is now on Stan.

And those are my February favourites.

It’s a bit of a small round-up this month, so I hope to try out a few more finds and things to share in March.

Thanks for reading!
